This shows a
comparison of the plan views of the current bath and the bath with the changes planned.
The old small toilet/shower room is removed,
the wall containing the entry door into the bedroom is extended across to the other wall, and
the existing bathroom wall is removed. This creates a bathroom about 10' x 12', 2.5' larger than
the existing space. This allows much more flexibility in placement of fixtures, and creates a more
open and spacious feel. The door in the new wall is positioned about 2 feet further from the wall,
to allow placement of a linen cabinet behind it. Using the arrangement shown, a vanity up to 5' wide
can be used, with either a single or double sink.
